So okay then… This came up yet again, this time¬†on my daughter’s forum:¬† http://thebibleclub.boards.net/
A young witch that has since departed the forum stated something to the effect of Jesus couldn’t have risen from the dead thusly they can’t believe the Bible.¬† This flies in the face of not only history, but their own avowed spiritual path through life.
History… There were Romans guarding the tomb where His body was laid.¬† You didn’t mess with Roman guards, and no, they didn’t fall asleep.¬† They were professionals and the penalties for such things tended to be terminal.¬† Also, Jesus was seen by many people after the resurrection.
1st Corinthians 15
15 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.
From the worldview o f the magik paths:¬†¬† Here we have an interesting thing.¬† They are following a path that holds spirits, gods, goddesses, and magik.¬† But disavow God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and miracles because they just can’t exist. ¬† Go figure that one out.¬†¬†¬† I might expect this from an atheist, but from a witch?¬† I’m calling all of you out on this one. You cannot be intellectually honest and say that the supernatural exists but that it doesn’t exist within the same argument. ¬†s
